Whereas it is evident that people without appropriate preparation or treatment, may succumb to COVID -19, it is proper to employ the tools we have at hand. In addition, during the course of 2020, diligent researchers have verified demonstrated the off label efficacy of a number of well- established drugs for the treatment of COVID-19.
The off-putting term “NO EVIDENCE” used by WHO, and some others of the scientific research community, means only that, no one has run gold standard trials creating data. There may be no financial payback in running them. The success of a new drug may detract from another. Gold standard specifications require a lot of money, a lot of people, a lot of time and a lot of people getting sick or dying who are on a placebo.
In reality there may be, PLENTY of EVIDENCE, that a substance or device works well and safely, and an individual would be glad to take it if it were in his cupboard, rather than meet the prognosis of his disease.
